Case Study: Stockton Boulevard
Join ULI YLG to discuss the multi-faceted improvements and development along Stockton Boulevard. Conversations will highlight
various aspects of the Stockton
Boulevard corridor, starting from capital and infrastructure improvements,
nonprofit developments and
affordable housing, and conclude with a tour and
discussion of Aggie Square.
SESSION #1 – Public Sector / Public Infrastructure
Tuesday, September 26th (5:30-7pm) (@ Sac City Brews)
This session will kick off the mini-series by providing an introduction and overview to the history of Stockton Boulevard, recent changes made along the boulevard, and public investments and infrastructure being poured into the area. Speakers will highlight the public vision for Stockton Boulevard from transportation to land use and economic development.
SESSION #2 – Nonprofit Development and Affordable Housing
Wednesday, October 11th (5:30-7pm) (@ Colonial Heights Library)
This session will kick off with a tour of Mercy’s new affordable housing project at 4995 Stockton Boulevard and focus on nonprofit developments and affordable housing developments along the boulevard. It will dive into the challenges faced by affordable housing developers while also highlighting successful projects and the importance of community input and participation.
SESSION #3 – Aggie Square
Wednesday, October 25th (5:30-7pm) (@ Aggie Square)
This final session will include a tour of Aggie Square, a leading edge innovation district bringing together UC Davis research, innovative companies and startups, and talent from across the community. The tour and conversation will highlight the vision behind this project, development process, and the challenges faced.
