Young Leaders Group (YLG)
The mission of the Young Leaders Group (YLG) is to increase the involvement and influence of young real estate professionals in the Sacramento region and to develop programs and opportunities for the industry’s future leaders. Through mentorship, peer-to-peer learning, project tours and educational forums, the Sacramento YLG creates opportunities for Urban Land Institute (ULI) members age 35 and under to develop skills and build relationships that will help advance their careers and foster an understanding of thoughtful development practices. The YLG Leadership Team is made up of young professionals from the private and public sectors involved in real estate development, architecture, marketing, finance, urban planning, transportation, construction, public policy and more.
Leaders in Content
We host a broad array of content-packed events each year to enrich our members personally and professionally, providing opportunities to network with peers and industry leaders in a variety of settings. The Sacramento Young Leader Group activities are organized by and for ULI members age 35 and under to provide programming, networking, and leadership opportunities. We are recognized regionally for our high-quality programs that provide our members with innovative content on the timely issues that matter to them.
Signature Programs
The ULI Sacramento “under 35” young leader professionals is one of the most active groups nationally, and is led by an energetic Executive Board that has developed exceptional program staples, such as the Forums, the ACE Networking Experience, and the Legacy Series. This group also continually develops new and engaging content that is tailored to its member’s interests and the unique context of the Capital Region. Recent programs have included Alley Chats to discuss the potential for infill development in Midtown Sacramento and the Cool Projects Bike Tours to provide behind-the-scenes tours of the region’s newest development projects.
Get Involved with Young Leader Group activities
We remain innovative and relevant through broad participation of the community. We encourage our new ULI members to become “active” and “engaged” by volunteering at an event, sharing program ideas and feedback, or helping to recap our events through blogging and photography.
The Young Leader Group activities create a unique opportunity for tomorrow’s leaders to interact both professionally and socially with the leaders of today.
