Climate Resilience & Innovation Initiative
ULI Sacramento’s newest initiative responds to the impact of climate change on land use development. The CR&I Committee highlights projects that provide insights on innovative design, financing, and planning strategies aimed at achieving greenhouse gas reductions in new and existing buildings and transportation projects.
CR&I tailors programming topics to ULI’s broader member base of construction, finance, design, engineering, and building industry professionals whose projects are ultimately influenced by climate-related policies. CR&I Chair: Eric Sotto, Ibex Ventures ([email protected])

The power of a Technical Assistance Panel (TAP) was on full display with sponsor Greater Sacramento Urban League (GSUL). ULI Sacramento recently held a TAP with a theme of Environmental Equity — supported by ULI’s Net Zero Imperative initiative and our local sponsor SMUD’s Sustainable Communities program — to advise GSUL on their ongoing transformation in Del Paso Heights.
The panel toured prospective sites and provided recommendations to aid in revitalizing this corridor through a dynamic community gathering space, a rehabilitated commercial building, and strategies for climate resiliency.
One key TAP prompt was identifying technical barriers to climate resiliency for the neighborhood — and we’re proud to share that the full TAP report is now available.
A huge thank you to our panel of ULI experts for their expertise and insights:
