Would you like to lead your community by pursuing a career in real estate development, but you’re not sure where to start? Click the links below for brief introductions to some of the major roles within real estate development.
- Developers — Oversee the acquisition, design, and construction of projects
- Urban Planning/Public Policy — Institute policies and plans to shape the future
- Real Estate Finance — Navigate the legal and financial realm to complete transactions

Project REAP—the Real Estate Associate Program:
ULI/REAP Online Academy — An eight-week online academy held in the fall and spring that introduces commercial real estate terminology, concepts, and processes to lay the foundation for a successful career in commercial real estate.
REAP Open Access Fellowship — Paid fellowship of 160 hours over up to 12 weeks in the winter to spring, matched with mentorship and access to curriculum, to prepare for careers in community development finance.
