Letter from ULI Sacramento Chair - July 2020
Thanks to everyone who has helped make this past year successful for ULI Sacramento.
July 15, 2020
Dear District Council Chairs,
As you have probably been expecting, ULI has made the decision to hold the 2020 Fall Meeting entirely virtually. An announcement went out to all members this morning and we wanted to send you some more specific information as soon as possible. I know many of you have been anticipating this decision to begin planning your council activities in October. The meeting will use a market leading platform that will enable us to deliver a world-class event, complete with both programing and networking, to members with the added benefit of enhanced speaker presentations, live Q&A sessions and workshops. Members will be able to make direct connections by searching for fellow attendees, scheduling one-to-one meetings, and chatting with each other within the platform. We hope to leverage the fact that the event is entirely online to make the meeting genuinely global, with participants and attendees from all three regions.
While we will miss the chance to gather in person, we are very excited about the potential of this new format and for the ability to continue to deliver a Fall Meeting of the quality that you have come to expect from ULI. We are already working to plan excellent online sessions, networking events, and other engagement opportunities. It is our hope that District Council leadership participates enthusiastically to show support for ULI. The industry needs ULI to convene members across all sectors of real estate and land use during these challenging times more than ever and to position us strongly for future meetings when we return to holding them in person.
Online registration for the 2020 Fall Meeting will open on August 4.

The ULI Forums, launched in the lead up to the Virtual Spring Meeting in May, will take place the week before the Virtual Fall Meeting (October 5-9) to allow Full Members opportunities to engage on cross-cutting issues and topics.
