ULI YLG and ASLA EPG to host: WEAVE Volunteer Day!

On Saturday, May 19 ULI Sacramento, in partnership with the ASLA Sierra Chapter, will be hosting a volunteer service day to install landscaping improvements outside the WEAVE Headquarters building at 1900 K Street in Midtown Sacramento.  This community service event will bring together volunteers and sponsors from ULI, ASLA, UC Davis, WEAVE, and regional businesses to transform the planting along the face of the building on 19th and K Streets. ULI Program: ‘Redevelopment Redefined’ with Sen. Steinberg

On Tuesday, March 13 ULI Sacramento hosted ‘Redevelopment Redefined’ – A discussion about the future of redevelopment and the current changes that affect it. Guest speakers including: John Shirey, City Manager of Sacramento, William Fulton, Meea Kang, and Senator Darrell Steinberg presented to a packed house at City Hall. Senator Steinberg stated that ‘ULI has been way ahead of the curve’ with smart growth vision and developments such as TODs and sustainable communities strategies. He recapped his proposed bill SB1151: Redevelopment, long range asset plan.

Broadway Corridor Grant ‘Design the Future of Broadway’ Community Workshop

On February 24th and 25th, ULI Sacramento and the Greater Broadway Partnership hosted: ‘Design the Future of Broadway’, a community visioning workshop for an economic strategy for the future of Sacramento’s most historic corridors including: traffic, parking, walk-abilty and land uses.
