ULI Sacramento is awarded Regional Organization of the Year by SACOG

SACOG Salutes began in 1999 to recognize outstanding and innovative land-use, transportation and air quality planning, programs and activism throughout the six-county SACOG region. Planning and Design for Resiliency, focus at Members Think Tank

Jonathan Hammond and  Bruce Playle of Indigo Hammond & Playle Architects and Robert Glasgow of Miyamoto International Inc. spoke at a recent Think Tank Session on the issues related to Resiliency and Extended Survivability. The speakers discussed how the shape of our buildings and cities will evolve in order to respond to the need for lowered carbon emissions, the hazards from global warming, wild fires, and earthquakes to to create safe, sustainable and livable cities. Mayor-elect Darrell Steinberg keynote speaker at Annual Members Meeting

As ULI kicked off a new year July 1, Sacramento district council’s Annual Meeting was held featuring Mayor-elect Darrell Steinberg at a packed house at Mulvaney’s. Steinberg spoke about key issues in our City that he will be addressing when taking office as Mayor. He remarked that ‘ULI was key in helping me craft SB375.’ Darrell has been a long-time friend and partner of the Urban Land Institute. We look forward to working with him on ULI’s key priorities.
